The 7th and 8th grade band has been learning how to read rhythms using a traditional counting system. Earlier this month, they were divided into their individual sections and worked as a group to write down the counts for a set number of measures within a span of 7 minutes. Each section would then take a turn counting and clapping their rhythms out loud for the rest of the ensemble. This performance aspect of the group work kept all students accountable for their own learning, and it was great to see collaboration happening between different grade levels!

A group of anonymous donors is paying for all JH and HS students who don't have an activity pass for tomorrow's homecoming football game. Students save that money for the concession stand and the fine arts boosters have the chili dump for $3 a cup. GO FALCONS!
