West Burlington High School sophomore Amaziah Twillie earned a 7th-place finish at the IGHSAU State Wrestling Championships in Iowa City, securing a spot on the podium in a highly competitive Class 2A bracket.

Twillie opened the tournament with a first-round win before falling in the quarterfinals against a top-ranked opponent. Refusing to let the loss end her run, she battled back through wrestle-backs with key victories to stay alive in the tournament. Twillie finished her state run with a strong performance in the 7th-place match, bringing home a state medal and representing West Burlington with toughness and determination.
