Feb 2026: Another proud moment! Congratulations to our 2026 Large Group All-State Speech Nominee! The Radio News Broadcast team was nominated to perform at All-state February 21st at Iowa State! Getting asked to perform at All-State is a HUGE big deal! (most performances are just recognition by name only.) VERY EXCITING! Congrats to Sutton W., Derrik M., Aubrey A., Maryn A., and Lillian C. Also congrats to Mrs. Jeffries for her first All-State since she started coaching!! FALCON PROUD!
5 students competed at State Speech. The Radio News group received all 1’s. And the Reader’s Theatre group received all 2’s. Congrats Sutton W. Derrik M. Aubrey A. Maryn A. and Lily C. as well as Mrs. Jeffries for working with and supporting these students.
Previous Club News:
Congratulations to the individual speech members who performed at the State Competition in Cedar Rapids at Xavier High School. Aubrey Allen & Raylee Ayer submitted original poetry; Aubrey received a 2 rating and Raylee received a 1 rating overall. Erin Ryan competed in Radio News Broadcasting earning a 2 rating and Public Address earning a 1 Rating.
Congratulations to the large group speech teams who performed at the State Level in Bettendorf, IA. Sage the Spice Girls which consisted of Sage Eggar, Raylee Ayer, Lauren Allen and Erin Ryan received a 2 score in group improv. And the Radio Broadcast team of Raylee Ayer, Sage Eggar, Lauren Allen, Sutton Willeford, and Aubrey Allen received an overall 1 rating. Great work teams! (2/3/24)
