The West Burlington Anatomy class visited the SCC Health Occupations training center on Wednesday April 30th, 2025. SCC staff demonstrated how nurses, paramedics, and other health professionals are trained.

A big thank you to Dean Robinson Sr. for speaking to Mrs. Allen’s Modern U.S. History class today! Mr. Robinson shared his firsthand experiences serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War — including helping recover an unmanned Apollo capsule aboard the USS Boxer.
Students are currently studying Vietnam and were fascinated to hear his real-life stories. Each student even received a laminated photo from the mission!
We’re grateful for his service and for bringing history to life in our classroom. 👏📚

Congratulations to Coach Jonah Marlow, who has accepted the Head Varsity Boy's Basketball position at West Burlington HS for the 2025-2026 school year, pending school board approval.
West Burlington Early Learning Center will be holding an open house on Thursday May 8th, at 5:30 PM. Any parents/guardian interested in sending their child to West Burlington for 3 year old preschool, 4 year old preschool, or kindergarten, please attend.
A big Thank You to the Southeast Iowa Builders Association (SEIBA) for the grant that allowed the purchase of the SawStop Table Saw for the West Burlington Industrial Technology Department.

Sam Yonker, sophomore, shot a 37 and took first place at the Bloomfield Country Club at last night's Varsity Golf Meet. The NDWB varsity golf team consisting of Yonker, Mason Watkins, CJ Davis, Kaiden Dietzenbach, Kale Eggar and Kohen Dietzenbach took second place as a team in the invitational.
