Hawki (Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa) is designed to provide low-cost or free health insurance coverage for children under the age of 19 in families that meet specific income guidelines. This program ensures that children who are not eligible for Medicaid but whose families may not be able to afford traditional health insurance can still access essential medical care.
The coverage includes a wide range of services such as:

Vision and dental care

Emergency services

🛠️ WBHS Explores the Trades!
WBHS students attended the annual SE IA Trade Show at the Iowa Armory, where they got an inside look at a wide variety of career pathways. Students learned about apprenticeships in Carpentry, Electrical, Iron Work, Plumbing & Pipefitting, Millwright, Sheet Metal, and Heavy Equipment Operation.
Professionals from each field shared their expertise and led engaging, hands-on activities that gave students a real feel for the work.
A huge thank-you to all the tradespeople who inspired our future workforce today! 💚🤝🛠️
