The 2025 WBAHS Awards Night will be held Monday May 12th from 7-8pm in the high school auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Students will be notified before the ceremony if they are an award recipient but may not be told specific information.


Important information for the Kindergarten class of 2027 (Next years 3 year old preschool)
When parents are applying for open enrollment for incoming Kindergarteners for the Class of 2027, out of district students who have attended our 3 & 4 year old preschool program at WBELC will be given TOP PRIORITY when applying for open enrollment into the West Burlington District!

If your child will be 5 by September 15, 2025, please call 752-8747 #2 to leave a message or email jennifer.hoogerwerf@wbschools.us to pre-register your child. If you know of a child that is a West Burlington resident, please make sure you pass this information along to them. We need names of our resident students asap! Additional information regarding registration and the parent meeting will be communicated at a later date. If you are not a resident of West Burlington and desire for your child to attend Kindergarten in our district, please contact our elementary office as well. We will help you get the necessary paperwork to file for open enrollment.

It's Monday's Senior Spotlight: meet Ella Spiker!


ISASP assessment for students in grade 7-11 during the week of April 14-18.
Monday April 14 all students report and school will have a regular school schedules. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday however the school will operate on a modified schedule. All students in grades 7-11 will report to school as normal with an 8:10 start time as testing sessions will begin. The testing sessions will last until about 10:00am. Once the testing session is complete for each morning, the school will utilize our Late-Start school schedule for the remainder of the day. Seniors will not report to school until 10:00 when 1st period will begin. On Friday April 18 there is no school as it is Good Friday.

The elementary after-school club enjoyed using clay to make some masterpieces! Thanks to our generous PTO for supporting our club, the club was able to purchase enough clay for everyone to create!








Ms. Bergman's 3rd grade class had an awesome hands-on experience during ELP with Mrs. Ruther. They had to work in groups and then test their final product.











Wyatt Mooney proudly displays his wiener dog MIG Welding project.
Students are using MIG welding to tack together springs, bolts, washers, screws, etc.
Welding students are currently learning how to tack weld, adjust their machine settings, sandblast, and paint the finished product.
