Superintendent's Message
January 2024
While the process of ending one year and starting another is one of hope and renewal, it also brings its challenges…like remembering to move from 2023 to 2024 for the year when dating documents. It takes that moment of intentionality to make sure one has it right. Intentionality is a part of our daily lives, be it in what we eat, exercise, kind words or patience and a myriad of other things. Intentionality also is found in our work.December 2023
Some things seem to never change. I plot my message in my mind and wait until the last moments to put pen (keyboard) to paper (screen). As always my mind is drawn to more things than will be read...so I’ll work to keep it concise.November 2023
One of my morning responsibilities is to put our two elder dogs, who are each about 15 years old, outside for a few minutes. As with most mornings, I rose early and came downstairs with the two of them in tow. I went to the back door and opened it for them to make their way out. Bella, the black lab, courteously went through.October 2023
When I was offered the opportunity to lead this district in the late spring of 2019, I committed to the Board of Education that I would serve for at least four years and maybe five. At the conclusion of this school year, I will have completed my 5th year as the district’s superintendent.August/September 2023
It’s Those Dang Transitions Again. The blank page once again awaits me. There is so much to say and only so much space and time with which to work. At this time and in this space, I will work to focus on the changing of the seasons..Summer to Fall…Freedom to Routine…Beginnings and EndingsMay 2023
Transitions is a theme that is on my mind again. I keep checking my Weather Channel feed to see when the last night of temperatures below 40 will come and pass. I believe it is tonight and that is much to my delight. I am not a fan of cold weather nor really of hot..so I have my perfect four to six weeks before me.Our Mission
